I finally stepped away from my work table and got out of the basement this weekend. My travels took me through the nearby countryside. As much as I dislike winter there is, of course, beauty to be found. Or so I remind myself.
I think once summer is here, this little outbuilding will be well hidden from the road. What a beauty, tin roof, peeling weathered white paint, yummy textures. A great little place for a photo shoot, don't you think? I would have loved to have gotten closer, but there was the fence, and the No Trespassing sign. And out in the country I'm always afraid that once I step away from my truck, a big country dog will appear out of no where. So to be on the safe side, I shot this one from inside the
safety warmth of the cab of my truck.
And I wondered to myself, if you were there would you have talked me into slipping through the opening in the fence to get closer? And then running like the wind, trying not to get tangled in the briars and the fence, shrieking with laughter all the way to the truck when we heard the dog barking . . .
